September Goals

September is the last month of my first 12 Week Year. I haven’t been as productive towards my goals this summer. There have been a lot of different things that have come up. At the end of July/beginning of August I had a procedure on my esophagus because I was struggling to eat. (to say the least)

I knew this first 12 week year was going to be a challenge. I was hoping that it would be better because I really do want to do more with my life. I want to write more and be more consistent with things. Each day my mental health is also getting better and better. When I don’t have what I think is a productive day instead of looking at the negative, I look at the stuff that I did do over the stuff I didn’t do.

My goals in September are similar to August, but some of the goals are going to get more specific and detailed.

SEPTEMBER GOALS

Overall for the whole month I want to keep with the big goal titles like Finance, Zyia, Write, and Fitness. Then my weekly and daily goals will support the overall theme.

Finance Friday – On Friday, I pay bills under my name and move in my google document. To budget I use Mint. We could be better on creating and sticking to a budget, but during the summer months it’s hard because of baseball and travelling. Right now, we are spending money but each month I do look at Mint to see what I could have done better. We also need to put more money in savings and paying off credit card. In the fall this will be a more focused goal to reach some of our bigger finance goals.

Fit Traveler Blog – The goal is 12 posts! That’s every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in September. I am getting better about updating my editorial calendar. My problem for a while was looking at an empty page. I have so many ideas and things that I do want to write about it’s tough to keep on one post. As I am writing one post, I usually come up with ideas for another posts. I write a lot but I need to let people know that I wrote and to check it out. That’s my biggest struggle right now. (And graphics too. But I could spend all day messing with it. It’s so fun!)

Zyia – This is my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I am relaunching and rebooting this business. When I signed up it wasn’t the best timing with a move, and I was in a horrible frame of mind. Over the year I have gotten more Zyia and have been falling in love with the products. I am still struggling on sizing for tops. I am having a relaunch party on my anniversary date (Sept 7th). This month I am starting Zyia the way I wanted last year.

PIIT28 & 30 Day Challenges – I am REALLY going to do it this time, but mostly in the stories. I have wanted to do this for a VERY long time. I am going to do it. it’s only 30 minutes a day with no equipment. Even though I am no longer a POP Instructor I want to finish this out. I am also doing 75 Soft with adding 1 workout. So I am doing 2 workouts per day.

Spa Nights – I started these back in 2020 when everyone was quarantined. I started a Self Care Sunday for a variety of different reasons. The biggest being to remember what day it is because I was off work for so long and stayed inside a lot. I had a lot of skin care products that were given to me that I needed to use. Since things are slowly coming back to normal, I am still continuing self care night. I have added a day mid week as well. It’s not as extensive as the one on Sunday, but it’s a nice middle of the week refresher.

Fitness – On top of starting a new routine, I am DETERMINED to close all my rings this month. I have wanted to hit this goal for SO long. The biggest reason I haven’t hit this goal is not charging my watch. Then it dies and I don’t charge it for days. Not now, I got a new watch that I LOVE and going to do it!

August Goals

August was a roller coaster. I was up and down in all aspects of my life.

Fit Traveler Blog – I didn’t hit my goal of 14 posts this month BUT I am writing more and more. That is more important to me. I also worked on graphic for some of the posts. I know I could have done more, but still proud of what I did accomplish.

Zyia – I was horrible this month. I was inconsistent and no focus. The lack of focus did make me realize how bad I really want to do Zyia. I need to put in meaningful work to see results. I really do have everything I need to be successful. The work needs to be done.

Mint – This was probably the most successful thing I was good at this month. We paid off some credit cards and moved money to savings. So overall a WIN!!

Reading 10 pages – Another thing that I rocked at this month. I love learning so this probably isn’t a surprise. I am not reading any fiction books because I could read those in a day. Only reading 10 pages is a struggle. I probably should read fiction to work on my self control. My goal is to read 10 pages of personal, professional and educational. This month my personal book is Eat Smarter. It’s about what I eat and how it affects my body. My professional book is a motivational interview book about accomplishing what I want. My educational book is my GRE book.

Next 3 Months

This month is going to be two fold for me. I am going to continue working on my goal I have set for myself, but also going to start focusing on what I want out of the next 3 months to finish out 2022. I have decided that I won’t using PowerSheets anymore because I want to go more digital with things. I wish they would come out with something like that but I know the reason why they don’t. (Wishful thinking)

Today has actually been a pretty good day but this week has been a roller coaster. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions for me personally. And with my full time job too.

I absolutely love my full time job 90% of the time. Some calls are harder than others. I love being able to work from home in my own environment. It’s very calming.

Zyia Club Shorts are just that! I got the sky blue first. I loved the material, the fit, everything was PERFECT! Later in the summer they released 3 more colors. I grabbed all of them except green. Then I had buyers remorse and grabbed the green through a friend!

These shorts are $55. You can dress them up or down. I practically lived in these shorts last summer! If anything I would grab the black shorts because it will go with anything!

I also don’t like winter and pretty much hibernate until spring. In the winter, it work and home. Now that I work from home I pretty much never leave in the winter unless I have to.
